First off, I only have a few new photos to share. :( I always have my camera, but I think I get caught up in the moments that I forget to actually take pictures. However, isn't this how life should be? I guess it just means I am enjoying things so much that I honestly forget to take the photos. I will try to be better about capturing the actual moments as well. We did have some professional photos taken of Holden with the very talented Lisa Tosi (lisatosi.com) She is awesome and I swear is the baby whisperer. Holden was great during the photo shoot and I cannot wait to see the results. I will post the link for you all to see once we get it.
Other than that we have had a busy couple of weeks. We are convinced that we produced a very social baby. He just really seems to love people and being out and about. I took him to Yuba City a couple of weeks ago to visit my co workers and he loved it. He actually fell asleep in my boss's arms, Elizabeth, during lunch. It was very sweet. We also went to his cousin Sean's birthday party at Chuckee Cheese. Wow. I had visions of my life over the next few years. Talk about overstimulating. I walked past all the people we knew because it was so chaotic. Holden fell asleep in Grandma's arms. We then went out to lunch with Grandma and Great Grandma after. He is such a trooper. I think he will know a lot about the way women operate from all of his lunching with the ladies as an infant. Some of that has to bore into the self-conscious, right?
This past Sunday we went to the Christmas Preview downtown with Sara and Logan. I bundled Holden up in the Baby Bjorn front carrier and off we went. He absolutely loved it and looked just adorable. He was checking out the people and lights. He fell asleep during that too: With a live band going and hundreds of people milling around him. He also got to see daddy, who was helping a line of kids check out the fire engine. Next year maybe he will get to cut in that line and get in there himself. ;) He was definitely a showstopper as many people stopped to comment on how cute he is. We think so too...
Overall, it has just been an absolute joy getting to know this little guy. I call him my little buddy. He is so much fun.
Here are some of his milestones:
-He is already holding his head up (has been for quite some time)
-He is almost sitting up on his own
-He smiles and cooes in response to us (daddy got the first one of those)
-Basically sleeping through the night (a minimum of 5 hours. Last night -- 7!)
Things he likes:
-LOVES to hang his head upside down or over your arm.
-People
-Being walked around
-Being outside. Loves to go on walks.
-Continues to LOVE the bath
-He is starting to really snuggle. He will hold onto you as he falls asleep in your arms. It is precious
Again. He is just a joy. I love every single second of it. I am pretty sure his dad does too. They are buddies. Sometimes he will be fussy and then his dad walks in the door and he just stares at him and smiles. It is the sweetest thing.
AND...now we are going into our first holidays with a baby. It is exciting....
More to come.

With Grandma Nancy and GG Phyllis
